Sweet Tai: Sweet Seeds delivers a bit of Asian Persuasion

SWEET TAI - BACKGROUND AND GENETICS

Sweet Tai is a successful crossbreed between an elite clone of Super Tai and Early Skunk. By bringing Early Skunk into the genetic mix, Sweet Seeds managed to shorten the long flowering period of Super Tai which makes Sweet Tai more suitable for modern indoor and outdoor growing. The outcome is not only faster but has won 7 awards. If you weren't sure if this is a top-performer then you are now. Sweet Tai combines 70% sativa and 30% indica genetics.

SWEET TAI - GROWTH AND YIELD

Like mentioned above, Early Skunk shortens the flowering time significantly to 9 weeks. But it also makes the buds denser and more resinous than with typical sativas. Further, the structure of this plant is rather compact which is ideal for indoor grow operations. Be amazed by her enormous and impressive branches that are a typical sign of Thai strains. Sweet Tai is not a super producer when it comes to yields but still earns the indoor grower 350-450g/m². The dedicated outdoor cultivator can harvest 300-500g/plant in late September or early October. Overall, this strain is not the best for beginner growers, since one needs quite a bit of knowledge about cannabis plants and experience in growing them.

SWEET TAI - AROMA AND EFFECT

Asian food is usually very spicy and the same is true for this Asian strain. If you are a fan of exotic flavors then Sweet Tai is exactly your thing! The smell and taste are deeply spiced; very delicious and exotic. You will be surprised by the aroma of nuts and even some chorizo. Her profile is really complex, some say there is Skunk in it, but mint and a pretty dominant barbecue flavor are also noted. The produced high is extremely active and cerebral, still showing the Tai/sativa side in the genetics. Really stimulating and inspiring effect with this one.

  • Origins Of The Thai Strains

Thai strains made their first appearance in the Western world in the 1960s and became an instant success. The 1960s, 1970s and 1980s are dead and gone, but Thai strains are still present to this day; due to the notoriously long flowering period of pure Sativas mostly in hybrids.
