This strain received its name from the South African port city, Durban. Ed Rosenthal stabilized and hybridized the best Durban sativas, back in the 70’s. The genetics traveled to Amsterdam, where Durban cannabis got introduced to the wider public. Durban Poison was created and became an instant success. Dutch Passion decided to create an autoflowering variety, thus Auto Durban Poison came to light.
